Existentialism is beautiful

Essentially the battle one endures in pursuit of finding ones true self. Free from the mold society tries to force on you. People claim to be individuals but usually they've merely attached themselves to a trend that encourages rebellion via conformity. Really you're only escaping one mold and laying down in another. How many people do you know are truly themselves?

  1. I honestly wouldn't know, since I'm in a mold myself.

Although I'm attending university for the sole purpose of recognizing and understanding the different molds, therefore freely choosing my own mold or breaking free.

  2. Makes sense. Most people our age don't have much of a choice in the matter. We're raised in a household by authority figures who essentially regulate your life until your 18, most importantly your most formative years. Most people get stuck with stigmas and burdens in their childhood that they never get rid of, and these things serve to hinder your growth as a person.
